I can't say enough good things about PB&J. It's maybe the most perfect food on so many occasions. It's an amazing lunch that gives me energy throughout the afternoon, a fabulous breakfast before a crazy day, and one of my favorite desserts. I'm a big fan of the classic, but Richie loves it with some sliced bananas, every once in a while I'll grill it, and when I'm feeling really spicy I'll swap out the jam for some honey and the bread for some cinnamon raisin toast.
When made properly, PB&J can give you a perfect boost with it's protein, whole grains, and fruit components. My favorite combination for a classic PB&J consists of Food for Life Ezekiel bread, Whole Foods 365 smooth peanut butter, and homemade raspberry jam that I pick up on my way home from the beach in long island at an organic farm stand.
